It's cool but not all that. It's good for the weekend and to go somewhere with a lot of normal people, not cheap , not expensive.
Taco Tuesday is the day to stop by Cantina Malolam. I came with my boyfriend earlier this year to try their $1 tacos! We tried a bunch of different tacos, but my favorites were the coconut shrimp & pork belly. Even though they were small, I was so surprised at the strong flavors and the amount of meat included in each one! I also ordered a margarita, which was fairly average. My only complaint was the noise level - I know this is a bar, but it was to the point that we couldn't hear each other at all without yelling. We moved tables to try & find a slightly quieter spot, but it didn't work. I think we would have stayed a bit longer if we could've chatted here. Overall, Taco Tuesday was a good experience!
Great hangout spot on weekends. Can't beat the $2 Tecate and Tecate Light 12 oz cans all day, every day. Also great for brunch. $7 pozole and $1 bloody Marys. The service is very attentive, the ambiance is chic and the music selection is great. I highly recommend this place.
Dollar taco any day any time. This is probably the most popping restaurant inside Time at Montecillo. Here is the breakdown: Food Yes dollar tacos and they have the majority of the tacos available in this special deal. I certainly enjoyed that. Carnitas, carne assada, pollo, shrimp and pork Bella were some of the choices I had. Very good price and very tasty. So it is not like one of those: you paying for a dollar so don't feel bad places but rather, cheap for what I got. Service The waiter was very friendly but very slow. It took forever to get refill on our drinks and just to get the check. Environment/ ambiance Definitely a very casual and chill environment. The DJ is great and play a lot of remix songs and blends American/ Latin top 40 musics so definitely had a good time. Overall Had a great time despite the slow service. Plus the $1 taco Tuesday promotion made it great.
